IOSH MANAGING SAFELY COURSE DESCRIPTION
This 3 day course is suitable for Supervisors & Managers, as every Supervisor or Manager should have a clear understanding of their responsibilities when it comes to health & safety. After the 3 day course staff will:
- Understand the definition of hazard and be able to identify hazards
- Have in-depth knowledge of what is meant by risk and the risk assessment process
- Be able to understand how to control risk and be shown typical techniques
- Understand their responsibilities relating to health & safety under the Health & Safety at Work etc Act 1974
- Understand the importance of fully investigating incidents and ensuring the correct preventative and corrective control measures are put in place
- Be introduced to the concept of risk enablement
- Understand the importance of improving safety performance, systems and processes
The 3 day course will encourage the delegates to fully engage, get involved, identify hazards and manage risk plus complete workplace Risk Assessment Projects. The delegates will also be given 25 multiple choice questions to ensure they have understood the modules covered and retention of knowledge.
