HSE reports that 964,000 workers suffered from work-related stress, depression, or anxiety in 2024-25.As a result, 22.1 million working days were lost.1 Obviously, mental health issues take a heavy toll on businesses.
While raising awareness of mental health conditions and their effects on businesses is important, the Mental Health Foundation has chosen Action as the theme of this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week. Only when we take action to support good mental health will real change come about.
Resources are available on the Mental Health Foundation’s website for taking action to improve mental health. These resources include logos, posters, and social media graphics. Also included are tipsheets with tools to improve mental health that range from simple, quick fixes to long-term lifestyle changes.
